Global Data Specialists retrofitted the PAACS controls for the BAK-14 barriers on both runways at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, under a contract with the base's contracting squadron.
Scope
The retrofit covered the dual-runway BAK-14 controls, the barrier-pit sensors and a unit for the maintenance shop, built on Motorola ACE3600 hardware.
Completion
GDS completed the retrofit in 2021 and continues to support the system at Andrews.
