Global Data Specialists provided hardware systems integration for Magna Water District's SCADA upgrade through I-D Electric Company. The work covered control hardware and communications across wells, tanks, booster stations, irrigation facilities, and water treatment facilities.
Control Panels and Field Equipment
The work included replacing components in existing panels, installing new backpanels, and supplying new enclosures where needed. Each panel had to suit the equipment and installation requirements at its site.
The upgrade used Allen-Bradley CompactLogix PLCs, Point I/O, cellular communications equipment, and associated network and power components. Panel work included power supplies and DC backup power as part of the field installation.
Installation and Project Coordination
GDS handled hardware integration and communications upgrades, coordinating site changeovers and commissioning with the district, the electrical contractor, and the software integrator.
