Global Data Specialists developed an Ignition SCADA application for Arizona Department of Transportation pumphouses around the Phoenix metropolitan area's major freeways. The application replaced the existing Wonderware interface used to monitor equipment that removes water from the freeway during rain events.
Pumphouse Monitoring and Alarms
The GDS application gives operators an overview of pumphouse sites and access to individual facility status. Its screens cover pumps, engines, and generators, with alarm information and operating history available for review.
GDS used the functions of the existing application as the starting point for the new interface. The Ignition application includes SMS and email alarm notifications, site diagnostics, and alarm history.
Operator Documentation
GDS also prepared an operator guide describing navigation, site status, alarms, and historical information. The installed application became the primary interface for Phoenix metro operations and system notifications.
