GDS Notes

• Use the MOSCAD-L label and full module numbers to confirm that this is the correct family reference. MOSCAD and ACE3600 documentation should not be substituted solely because the installation uses Motorola controls.
• For replacement planning, record the installed power supply, field signals, communication equipment and application version. An older manual can explain the existing arrangement but does not establish that a currently offered part is an equivalent replacement.
• GDS can review the reported fault and available records to scope repair or modernization. Include the relevant manual section with the inquiry and retain current application backups before removing equipment.
